The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) is an NGO based in Switzerland that has existed since 1948 and represents 82 states, 111 government agencies, 800 NGOs and 10,000 scientists and experts spread across 181 countries. This organization promotes the conservation of biodiversity and the equitable and ecological resources of the planet. Of course, it has no objection to the seal hunt that meets all of these parameters. IUCN
Closer to home, Senator Céline Hervieux-Payette, former Senator Jean Lapointe, MP Justin Trudeau and all the environmental groups seriously (Nature Québec, Attention Frag'Îles, Ducks Unlimited ...) is position in favor of hunting seals environmentally friendly.
The new generation, more informed and less inclined to fall into the false propaganda of animal rights, also turned back to the real fur, much greener and less polluting than synthetic fiber.
